Boston - The Planetary Group, The Noise, Boston Rock Opera, & WMFO, present
"For the Benefit of Mr. Dee," five days of shows throughout metro Boston that will honor and raise
money for local music champion, radio host, writer, and musician, Mikey Dee. Dee, 37, who was
stricken February 7th with a brain stem stroke, is currently at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital. The
events will run Wednesday, May 3rd through Sunday May 7th at 14 venues and will feature over
seventy (70) bands and artists.
Some of the Boston music communities brightest stars have donated their time to this event,
including: Letters To Cleo, Angry Salad, The Push Stars, The Sheila Divine, The Shods,
Babaloo, and The Gravel Pit. Also performing is Boston Rock Opera, who will be doing
selections from the rock operas: Tommy, Jesus Christ Superstar, Preservation and SF Sorrow.
Performers include: Gary Cherone (Extreme, Van Halen), Kay Hanley, Peter Moore, Mick
Mondo and Linda Viens.
Several surprise special guests will be announced closer to the event. For daily updates on Mikey

All monies raised from this event will be donated to the Mikey Dee Musician's Benefit Trust, which has
been established to assist with Mikey's long term medical and living expenses. Additionally, the trust
fund's long term future will focus on providing for musicians and artists who suffer catastrophic
